Hej Kids at Ikea

An early start to the day. Today, Samantha had discovered a new use for the water scoop. How does she look?

It was such a hot, hot day today. Almost felt like a sauna in the house. Almost unbearable. Almost going insane. So we decided to go to somewhere much cooler. Where things are a cool blue and yellow. Yup, we went to Sweden. Well.. the local slice of Sweden.

Ikea at Ikano Power Center is a really nice place. It was really crowded today as it was a holiday weekend (Agung's Birthday weekend). We managed to get seated a the cafeteria and had some snacks.

Hej Kids :)
Swedish meatballs and potatoes.. yummy!

I can eat by myself now (and make less of a mess)

These guys have thought of everything!

Well, these guys at Ikea have thought about almost everything. I wonder why doesn't every other place have such things. It says much about the thought process being put into the little details such as

... a children's play area (with seating around it for the parents or guardians to look over the kids while have a meal.

... children's utensils and baby bottle heating facilities and even a microwave for heating baby food.

... a mother's area for more feeding privacy.

... Baby care rooms! Why doesn't every shopping complex put emphasis on baby care rooms. They must realise that parents (almost everyone) do go shopping with their kids/toddlers/babies. And they didn't attached it exclusively to the Ladies room. There are fathers who have to change the little ones too.

... and a whole bunch of other things, like paper and pencil next to the public phones (so that you can take down your cab number or other details), separate recycling bins and clean rest rooms.

I wonder how Sweden would be like. Smaland?

It would be a nice trip for all of us.
