"Pec" and smile
It was 4am on a Monday morning. The Little One was tossing about in bed trying to get to a comfortable position to sleep. I guess she was hungry. She then woke up and sat up. I asked her if she wanted milk. She nodded.
Carried her out of bed and walked past the dresser with the table fan. She then said "pec" and pointed. She pointed to my spectacles, on the dresser where I normally put them before I go to bed. "Pec" again.
I put on my glasses and she smiled. A cute little smile in her daze of an early morning hunger wake up call.
Later, she finished her milk and went back to dreamland.
Bliss is a nice word.

Chocolate and Vanilla
Samantha now drinks both the chocolate and vanilla flavours of Pediasure.
She didn't like vanilla for a while.
Anyone know where we can get Pediasure at a good price? Everything is going up!

Three Little Kitties
We've found 3 little kittens at the back of the house!
Hello Kitties!!! :-)
This is Samantha's first encounter with kittens. She has seen cats from a distance before but not kittens this up close. As usual her eyes lit up with curious delight as the kittens cried out for their mommy. We can see that she was cautious yet very curious at this new experience.
Meow! mew! mew!
I hope the mommy cat comes back soon. The kittens are hungry!

Where peas come from
Samantha likes to eat Peas. Yes, you know, Peas.
The humble little green pea is a delight for her. She has had it by itself, steamed, with fried rice, with fried noodles and even with porridge!
However she had never seem the peas from a pod before. Yesterday yehyeh was in town and we went out for dinner! We ordered a 'san kong tau fu' which had some snow peas in there. She didnt know what the green vege was but when we peeled it to reveal the peas inside, her eyes lit up with delight! Peas!
Now she knows... where peas come from.

The "Where Is" Game
Samantha playing the "Where Is" game. She's getting better everyday! Her vocabulary is growing at an amazing rate. So is her comprehension of actions, facial expressions as well as the concept of cause-and-effect. Amazing Little One.

It's very fun for the little ones to look at!

PD for the weekend Part 2
It's Sunday morning. Daddy was sleeping. Samantha got up early!
Samantha and mommy went down to the beach and then later we all went to the pool!
It was her first experience at the beach, with sand between her toes, and with the waves coming in. Mommy said that she was quite nervous and cautious as she approached the water. Her toes curled up to grip the sand as the water came close :) Then she asked for mommy to rescue her from the water.
Here are photos from Sunday:

PD for the weekend Part 1
Last weekend, we went to Port Dickson.
This is Samantha's second trip there. 2nd? Yes, it was her second view at the sea. This time she got to play in it!
She had a good nap before we arrived at Semenyih. Then it was off to Port Dickson. Port Dickson (or PD as known by the locals) was about 2 hours drive away. It had been a while since I saw large, wide and clean beaches but I must say that PD did surprise me this time. May it was because we went to another part of PD. By the time we arrived, it was low tide and the sun was setting as we checked into the holiday apartment. Berjaya time sharing style that is.
The car was packed but we had a good time there. Time for an MPV in the future?
The Saturday night pasar malam was bustling and it provided us dinner ;)
Here are the photos from the first day (17th June, Saturday):

The Piano Maestro
She even plays the piano! In her own special way.
We wonder if she would like to go to a music school or play group.
There's one we found that offers a trial.
She's only almost 18 months old!

Mobile Phone Review
Here's the Little One's Mobile Phone.
Dimensions: Same as the Nokia 3330.
Looks: Very, very similar to the Nokia 3330.
Weight: Lighter than the Nokia 3330 (see battery note)
Battery Life: Battery in afterlife.
Screen : This is where the phone surpasses the Nokia's original monochrome screen. The screen is a beautiful 160x160, true colour, photo realistic view. Currently, you can see the screen saver mode with a picture of Samantha.
Screen modes: Screen saver only.
Performance: It's limitess battery supply allows for Little Ones to chat endlessly in baby speak. English is also used sometimes.
Conclusion: This is Samantha's phone and she knows how to use it! It's a must have for Little One communications. Fits nicely in her Mamy Poko or Enfa backpack as well. It receives our highest rating of "Highly Recommended".

Hej Kids at Ikea
An early start to the day. Today, Samantha had discovered a new use for the water scoop. How does she look?
It was such a hot, hot day today. Almost felt like a sauna in the house. Almost unbearable. Almost going insane. So we decided to go to somewhere much cooler. Where things are a cool blue and yellow. Yup, we went to Sweden. Well.. the local slice of Sweden.
Ikea at Ikano Power Center is a really nice place. It was really crowded today as it was a holiday weekend (Agung's Birthday weekend). We managed to get seated a the cafeteria and had some snacks.
Hej Kids :)
These guys have thought of everything!
Well, these guys at Ikea have thought about almost everything. I wonder why doesn't every other place have such things. It says much about the thought process being put into the little details such as
... a children's play area (with seating around it for the parents or guardians to look over the kids while have a meal.
... children's utensils and baby bottle heating facilities and even a microwave for heating baby food.
... a mother's area for more feeding privacy.
... Baby care rooms! Why doesn't every shopping complex put emphasis on baby care rooms. They must realise that parents (almost everyone) do go shopping with their kids/toddlers/babies. And they didn't attached it exclusively to the Ladies room. There are fathers who have to change the little ones too.
... and a whole bunch of other things, like paper and pencil next to the public phones (so that you can take down your cab number or other details), separate recycling bins and clean rest rooms.
I wonder how Sweden would be like. Smaland?
It would be a nice trip for all of us.
